The PCM volleyball team swept Chariton in their home class 3A Region 6 quarterfinal match Tuesday night 3-0.
The Mustangs came out strong against the Chargers, and won the first set in commanding fashion 25-17. PCM continued their dominance in sets two and three, defeating Chariton 25-17 and 25-12 to close out the match and complete the sweep. After the win, the Mustangs move to 18-13 overall on the season and keep their season going. PCM will now travel to Wellman on Thursday to take on #12 in 3A Mid-Prairie in a region 6 semi-final match. PCM volleyball coach Sarah De Vries is excited for her team to keep pushing themselves.
“We really have to focus on getting stronger throughout the season. Not plateauing. Not sliding into the end and to just really keep pushing ourselves. I think we saw that tonight against Chariton. We always want to keep improving and pushing ourselves to do better.”
First serve in Wellman on Thursday is at 7:00 pm.
