Pella Public Safety (Police, Fire, and EMS) will be conducting a joint exercise with other Marion County Public Safety members in the Vermeer Windmill and Pella Historical Village area starting at 4:00 this afternoon.

Pella Police Captain Paul Haase says a variety of public safety vehicles and personnel will be used during the exercise. There will also be several role players in the scenario. Signs indicating that it is a training event will be placed, and roads will be closed during the event.

“We kindly request everyone’s cooperation in staying away from the training area,” Haase says.
