While it is still fall, preparations for clearing snowy streets in Marion County have been made. Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian says that their equipment is ready and their supplies are fully stocked for clearing snow-covered roadways this winter.

“Right now our salt and sand sheds are completely full, they have been since probably August. Our crews have pulled out the plows, mounted up the plows and spreaders, tested hydraulics, looked at lights, that sort of thing. So, if we do get the October snow which we occasionally do sometimes around Halloween, we are ready to go.”
