The Pella Girl Scouts held their annual Birthday Bash recently to honor the memory and celebrate the birthday of Girl Scout Founder Juliette Gordon Low. Born on October 31, 1860, Gordon Low devoted her life to helping girls develop courage, character & confidence. This year, 41 Pella area girls attended the Birthday Bash. Together, the girls practiced sign language, collected 145 non-perishable items for the Pella Food Shelf, and explored sensory-focused activities. Gordon Low celebrated her birthday every year by doing a headstand, which the Pella Girl Scouts did this year too.
