Crayons 2 Pencils of Warren County was recognized as the small business of the week by Iowa U.S. Senator Joni Ernst on Monday.

Located in Norwalk, Crayons 2 Pencils is owned and operated by Matt and Jill Larsen and has an early learning center and a recreation center that provides childcare services to Warren County. Jill began working in early childhood education in 2008, before partnering with a friend to open Crayons 2 Pencils Early Childhood Center in 2016. Matt joined the staff in 2020, after serving in the Iowa Air National Guard for 18 years and was deployed to Iraq. 

Crayons 2 Pencils of Warren County also serves as an active member of the Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce and teaches courses on childcare to other daycare directors and employees.
