Pleasantville senior running back Caleb Cook ended his high school football career with his best season over his four year career.
Cook finished with over 1,300 all-purpose yards and 21 touchdowns on the season, and those numbers led Class 1A for most of the season. Cook made huge strides from his junior year to senior year in terms of production, as last fall he had 452 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns. Cook was also active on the defensive side of the football, recording 42.5 tackles and a fumble recovery. The senior was the kick returner for the Trojans as well and averaged 17 yards per punt return and 24 yards per kickoff return..
Pleasantville fell on the road at West Branch in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs to close out their 2023 season with a 5-4 overall record.
