A grand opening celebration, and Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting was held Thursday evening for Blooms of Iowa LLC.

The celebration was held for Knoxville’s newest business located on the north side of the square. Community members came to check out the new floral and gift shop located at 213 E Main St. Suite 103. Along with a ribbon cutting, there were prize drawings, food provided, storewide sales, and tours of the new shop. The business, which has been operating out of a home, is now moving to a location in town, and Blooms of Iowa owner Allyson Sedlock has felt welcome into the community. 

“Moving into Knoxville is going to help with foot traffic a lot and be able to have that retail space open. The community has been so welcoming which has been really a good thing. I don’t think small businesses can really operate without a community that supports them.”
