Nine area volleyball players from four schools earned academic all-state from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. From Knoxville, Brittany Bacorn and Anna Buttell. From Indianola Macy Wente and Brynn Bishop. From Norwalk Grace Dehmer and Tessa Livingston and from PCM Lark Drake, Reese Palm, and Ella Schendel. To get included on Academic All-State an athlete must be a senior and meet two of the following criteria. A cumulative GPA of 3.75 and an ACT score of 27 or higher and 1200 or higher and the SAT class rank in the top 15% for schools in 3A-5A and the top 20% in school 1A and 2A.
