The Knoxville Fire Department and Knoxville Police Department were alerted to an incident on the Knoxville Square that involved a horse driven carriage during Living Windows.
It was reported to authorities at 6:23 this evening that a juvenile on a skateboard caused a loud noise by slamming the front wheels of the skateboard onto the concrete in a horse’s blind spot. This startled the horses and caused them to swerve into a group of people.
One person was transported to Knoxville Hospital to be evaluated for injuries caused during the incident.
The Knoxville Police Department is investigating and asking for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact dispatch at 641-828-0554 and ask to speak to a Knoxville Police Officer.
Agencies on scene included the Knoxville Fire Department, Knoxville Police Department, Knoxville Rural Fire Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Marion County Emergency Management.
