The Pleasantville girls basketball team opens their season tonight on the road at Class 2A #2 Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. 

The Trojans enter the season under the direction of first year head coach Allyson Simpson, who was previously the head JV coach and varsity assistant coach at Nevada High School. Pleasantville brings back their two leading scorers from last season in juniors Joelle Johnson and Hope DeMan. The Rockets already have one contest under their belts, defeating Lynnville-Sully 48-44 Friday night behind junior Molly Shafer’s 21 points. EBF is 12-3 against Pleasantville in the Bound era.
