A season that hopes to be one of the best in program history starts tonight for the Melcher-Dallas Girls basketball Program tonight. The Saints travel to Wayne in an attempt to get the season started off on the right track with three straight non-conference opponents that the Saints have in their sights. Coach Kelsey Goff tells KNIA Sports the first three opponents will tell a lot how her team is this season.
Goff: “That’s kind of one of the positives of it that we start with 3 non-conference opponents on our schedule. Wayne is one of them, and we were so close last year, and that’s one I want to get because it’s been a while since Melcher has beat Wayne.”
Wayne is a young team this year with only four players listed as Juniors or Seniors on their Bound roster. The Falcons dominated the series leading 12-5 winning the last nine in the series. The last time Melcher-Dallas won a game in the series was on November 25th, 2014. Tip off is set for 7:30.
