The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday, which included public feedback regarding what the council should keep in mind during the South K Street Assessment Project. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the city is taking into account feedback from the public, in addition to the council taking into account the results of public meetings, and there continue to be changes to the project to help residents of the area.
“Because of the new design, it is not quite as wide in the overall right-of-way, so it’s not quite as impactful in needing to acquire right-of-way from residents in the area. So we are trying to listen to the residents at every step, and even last night when they were presenting information on having and protecting trees that can protect homes, council is taking that into consideration as well.”
