Forbes has named two local manufacturers, Pella Corporation and Vermeer Corporation, among its 2023 Best-In-State Employers List.

Pella employs more than 10,000 employees nationwide with over 4,100 residing in Iowa, operating across multiple locations, including its headquarters in Pella and manufacturing facilities in Sioux Center, Carroll, Shenandoah, and Pella. The company’s average team member tenure is 11 years.

Vermeer has been named both a Best Employer by State and among America’s Best Midsize Employers by the site, ranking 103rd in 2023 in the latter category. Vermeer lists 3,500 employees on the Forbes feature.
