The first varsity double header of the season for Knoxville Basketball brings on the South Central Conference opener tonight for the Panthers as they travel to Eldon to face Cardinal. Both Panther squads swept Cardinal last season with not a lot of resistance. The girls are looking for their first win of the season losing to PCM and Bondurant-Farrar to start the year off. Panthers Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports with the conference starting it has a different feel on game night.

Ritchhart: “It feels really small in there and it gets loud as well. Being our first boy/girl double header has a different feel to it. We can’t overlook anyone in the conference we have to come out and be ready to go.”

The Panther boys got their season opening win over PCM on Tuesday and look to continue that against a Cardinal team that they beat easily in both games last season. Converwqge on kniakrls.com KRLS3 will begin at 6:00 with the first game at 6:15.
