After having things about as easy as they will get this season Friday night, the Knoxville Basketball Squads travel to Osceola to face Clarke tonight. The girls will take on one of the South Central Conference favorites. The Indians have got off to a 1-2 start after being knocked off by Chariton on Friday to start conference play. Clarke is senior dominated, led by the Henry Girls, Alissa and Victoria. For the boys, a taller task will be in order for the Panthers as Clarke brings back Jack Cooley and 6/7 Cole White. Panthers Coach Troy Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports both will provide a different challenge to his team than what they have seen to this point.
Pearson: “That’s something we haven’t seen in our first two games. Another player is the Giza kid. I see he scored 29 points the other night so he’ll have to be watched as well. They’ll be ready for us and we have to go down to Osceola and it’s going to be fun.”
Live coverage tonight is on 95.3 KNIA with the pregame show at 5:45 and the girls tip off at 6:00.
