Head Coach Adam Hale:

“Some of our girls are really starting to show some solid progress. Even in a couple of our losses tonight, we took some big steps in closing the gap against opponents that had beaten us earlier this season. Our girls were more aggressive and willing to take a few more chances tonight and it paid off. Serenity only ended up with one other girl in her bracket, but she did a great job of applying some adjustments to her offensive attacks that we’ve been working on. Meav and Elaine both dropped one match tonight against very formidable opponents that had beaten them earlier this year, and I felt both really wrestled them well in tonight’s rematch. I thought tonight was a great step for Lyndon. She continues to apply what we’re coaching on, and tonight did an excellent job in her last match of moving her feet all the way through her shots. Emmalee continues plugging away, and Ellison wrestled her way to her first ever tournament title. We’re in the middle of a busy stretch of competition, and I was really encouraged by tonight’s showing and the demeanor of our girls. We’re looking forward to wrestling in front of a home crowd on Thursday.”

Pella joins the boys with a mega night of wrestling against Newton, with matches beginning at 5:30 Thursday evening.
