Returning to P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium for the first time since November 21st, the Central College basketball teams host Coe College in an American Rivers Conference doubleheader today. 

After picking up a big bounce back win on Tuesday against North Central, the Dutch women’s squad holds a record of 5-4 overall and 0-2 in the league. The Kohawks women’s team enters today’s matchup at 5-2 overall and 1-2 in conference action, after hammering Buena Vista University 92-49 last Saturday. The Central men are fresh off an 81-49 blowout win at Wartburg last Saturday, which improved their record to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the league. The men’s team at Coe is tied for first place in the conference with Central, with 8-1 overall record and 3-0 league mark, after they defeated Buena Vista University 78-66 last weekend.

In conjunction with the basketball games, Central’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be holding a food drive to support the Pella Food Shelf. Members of the committee will be stationed at the entrance of the gym collecting non-perishable food items from fans. 

Coverage of Central’s home basketball doubleheader today can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS, beginning with pregame coverage at 1:45 pm. Tip-off of the women’s game will follow at 2 pm, and the men’s game is scheduled to start around 4 pm.
