Today is the annual Home for the Holidays event hosted by the Indianola Downtown Merchants in partnership with the Indianola Chamber of Commerce.

Activities today include kids writing letters to Santa, face painting, inflatables, a Christmas train, and area girl scouts holding a cake auction in the KNIA Studios on the northwest corner of the square.

A lighted parade begins at 7:30pm at McCoy True Value, traveling south to Ashland then turning east, turning south on Buxton, then east on Salem ending at West Hill Brewery.

Home for the Holidays is from 4-8pm on the downtown Indianola square.
