A Marion County man was arrested earlier this week on a felony domestic abuse assault charge.

At approximately 11:45 am on December 5th, Knoxville police officers were dispatched to 322 N 1st St in regards to an incident. Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with both a male and female. The male was identified as 28 year old Daniel Williams. Both parties sustained injuries due to the altercation and there was a broken glass door that was shattered at the scene. The female victim allegedly told officers that Williams placed his hand around her throat during the altercation, making it hard for her to breath and causing pain. Upon concluding the investigation, officers determined that Williams was the primary aggressor in the altercation and placed him under arrest.

Williams has been charged with domestic abuse assault, impeding air or blood flow causing bodily injury, a Class D Felony.
