The Pleasantville wrestling team finished second at the Tri-County Tournament on Saturday.

The Trojans competed along with nine other teams and scored 177 points as a team to finish second overall on the day. Caleb Cook, Zane Mullenix, and Carter Metcalf all had first place finishes at the tournament. Tommy Booth and Tyler Gibson both had second place finishes, and Tanner Booth, Blake Rowson, and Colton Miller finished third on the day. Pleasantville wrestling coach Heath DeForest tells KNIA/KRLS sports that even though his team wasn’t at full strength they battled well. DeForest says he loves that he has kids willing to wrestle wherever they are needed and are willing to put the team first.

The Pleasantville boys wrestling team will be back in action on Tuesday for a quad at Earlham.
