The Pella bowling teams swept Pella Christian Saturday afternoon in a Two Rivers Bowling Conference showdown, with the boys winning 2996-2103 and the girls winning 1825-1593.

Alex Mitchel led the charge for the Pella boys with a 490 series, including a career-high game of 279. Carter Failor shot 452 and Alex Bishara finished with a 446. Andrew Van Kooten paced Pella Christian with a 370 and Evan Dejong shot a 364. The Lady Dutch were once again led by Taylor Walker with a 340 series, and Xavia Walker posted a 272 series. Caitlin Veenstra led the way for  Pella Christian, finishing with a 279 series and Macy VanderHart shot a 272.

The Pella bowling team improved to 1-1 on the season and will try to get above .500 against Norwalk on Saturday. The Pella Christian bowling squads fell to 0-3 on the year and they’ll look to pick up their first win of the season on Saturday against Ballard.
