The Pleasantville girls basketball team dominated Ogden Tuesday night as the boys team came up short in a West Central Conference doubleheader.
The Trojan girls controlled the game from start to finish defeating the Bulldogs 53-21. Pleasantville was led in scoring again by junior Joelle Johnson, who had 24 points. The Trojan girls improve to 4-3 on the season after the win and 2-2 in the conference.
The Pleasantville boys dropped their contest 60-49 to the Bulldogs and fell to 1-4 on the season and 0-4 in the conference. Freshman Braylon Bingham led the Trojans in scoring with 19 points and senior Dayson Leerhoff scored 18 in his first game of the season. Pleasantville boys basketball coach Taylor Phipps tells KNIA/KRLS sports that Ogden was able to control the tempo for the majority of the game and forced several turnovers.
