The Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad swatted away another Bluegrass Conference foe in a 54-30 win over Seymour while the boys were close but still could not win in a 47-42 loss. The Saints blew the game open in the 3rd quarter outscoring the Warriors 15-2. Addi Wadle scored 21 points while Maddy DeJong had ten. Brooklyn Metz grabbed ten rebounds. Coach Kelsey Goff credited the defense for the win. The Saints will turn right around and play tonight in an unusual situation as the girls will host Orient-Macksburg while the boys will play arch-rival Twin Cedars. Twin Cedars does not have a girls team this season so the Saints girls had to fill the schedule with another conference team. The girls game is set to get underway at 6:00 with the boys at around 7:30.
