The Knoxville Food Youth Initiative is providing holiday food bags for students to take home over holiday break.
The holiday helpers at the Knoxville Food Initiative have assembled 800 holiday food bags to start passing out today at several local libraries. These bags give students an opportunity to have plenty of snacks available to them over their time off of school. These bags are available for pick up starting today at the Knoxville Public Library, Melcher-Dallas Public Library, Webb Shadle Public Library, and Bussey Community Library.
These bags will be available for a one time pick up and students are asked to go to the library of which community they live in. Bags will be available during normal library hours until gone, and each child may take one. These holiday break bags were made possible through a grant from the Marion County Community Foundation and private donors.
