The Pella City Council held their final regular session of 2023 Tuesday night. 

Before the meeting, Mayor Don DeWaard and council members Dave Hopkins, John Butler, and Harold Van Stryland all took the Oath of Office ahead of their terms beginning on January 1st. During the resolution portion of the meeting, the council approved the adoption and levying of the final schedule of assessments for the 2022 Sidewalk Repair Project. Additionally, the city council approved a final plat for the Pumpkin Patch Farm Subdivision and the authorization of a permanent transfer of surplus funds from the Pella Municipal Electric Utility to the city of Pella. 

The city council also received an update on power supply costs with Missouri River Energy Services from City Administrator Mike Nardini during the policy and planning portion of the meeting.
