Progress has started after a bit of a delay for demolition of the Pella football stadium. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says destruction of the current press box and grandstand is progressing quickly as crews have moved in. Parking has become more limited during the demolition phase in the Pella High School parking lot. Ebeling says the difficult part about moving forward is a six-month lead time on the new press box and bleachers, meaning a lot of work will have to happen quickly over the summer. The stadium will be open for limited home events this spring and will not be available for football or marching band competitions this fall.
