A local non-profit organization is still working to improve conditions for those living in a country in crisis. Many Hands Executive Leader Tim Brand says their Haitian operations continue despite many years of turmoil as it relates to the government on the island nation. The unrest has caused an already impoverished country to suffer deeper as it relates to hunger, crime, and homelessness. However, despite the worsening hurdles, Brand says they stand ready to help those in the Haitian communities they serve, and have plans for expansion to the campus.
