The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams will host the Lynnville-Sully Hawks tonight for a non-conference varsity doubleheader.

The Pleasantville girls are 4-5 on the season and are coming off a 80-29 loss to Panorama on December 21st. They will now take on the #11 ranked Hawks who are 9-2 on the season and are coming off a 51-38 win over Iowa Valley in their last game. The Trojan girls continue to be led in scoring by junior Joellle Johnson who is averaging 24.9 points per game, a mark that is tied for second across the entire State of Iowa. 

The Pleasantville boys are 2-5 on the season and are coming off a 62-38 loss to Panorama. They will square off against the #10 ranked Hawks who are 8-1 on the season and coming off a 65-28 win over Iowa Valley in their last game. The Trojan boys are led in scoring this season by freshman Braylon Bingham who is averaging 20.1 points per game. 

Tonight’s varsity doubleheader starts with the girls game at 6:15pm and the boys game to follow.
