The Norwalk girls wrestling team last competed on December 14 at the Battle of Waterloo Tournament, but will return to action this week with a pair of meets on the docket.
The Warriors enter 2024 with a 1-15 dual record while several individuals have shown improvement and produced good results on the mat. Sophomore 170-pounder Katie Liedtke leads the team with a 13-8 record and 11 pins. Freshman Madison Froehle, competing at 105, is 10-8 with two pins and has won six of her last nine matches. Sophomore Madelyn Carroll, wrestling at 120 and 125, sports a 9-16 record with eight wins by fall.
The Norwalk girls will travel to Nevada for a tournament on Thursday at 6:00 p.m., then head to Carlisle for a four-team meet on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
