Following the busy holiday season, the Pella Opera House is closed to the public throughout the month of January. Associate Director of the Opera House Jara Johnson says that they use this time to reorganize following the Festival of Trees in December and prepare for upcoming events.
“What we use this time for is to kind of to catch our breath after a busy season, but we do a lot of behind the scenes things like painting, getting organized for all the things that are coming in the new year with shows, Tulip Time, and our gala. It’s our time to kind of gather and prep.”
