The Pleasantville boys basketball team defeated the Interstate 35 Roadrunners Friday night as the girls team came up short in a West Central Conference varsity doubleheader. 

The Trojan boys picked up their second conference win of the season defeating the Roadrunners 64-49. Senior Dayson Leerhoff led the Pleasantville boys in scoring with 28 points while freshman Braylon Bingham had 22. After the win the Trojan boys improve to 4-6 on the season and 2-5 in the conference. 

The Trojan girls strong lead going into the fourth quarter was not enough as they fell in a close 58-55 heartbreaker. The Pleasantville girls were led in scoring on the night by junior Joelle Johnson who had 27 points. The loss drops the Trojan girls to 5-7 overall on the season and 2-5 in the conference. 

Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Earlham.
