Former South Carolina Governor and US Ambassador Nikki Haley visited Indianola Saturday morning, speaking to potential caucus-goers at a Countdown to Caucus event at Skyview Winery and Event Center, with over 150 in attendance. Haley talked about issues including border security, education, the national debt, and foreign policy. Haley said she wants to update the military thinking to be more focused on potential future threats.

“We’ve got generals right now that are thinking about wars of the past, land, air, and sea. We’ve got to look at the threats of the future. We need to be focused on artificial intelligence. On cyber, on space, we need to be developing hypersonic missiles, submarines, those are the things we need to look at moving forward.”
