The Pella School Board will review early retirement applications as part of their first meeting of the new year today. The board will consider nine more individuals who will take advantage of the policy put in place to assist with general fund cost savings. If approved, that will mean 15 different administrators, teachers, and support staff will depart; two after this academic year, and 13 following 2024-25. The board will also consider the modified supplemental amount of at-risk dropout prevention. A work session is scheduled as part of the annual evaluation of Superintendent Greg Ebeling. The Pella School Board meeting begins at 5 p.m. in the Pella High School conference room, and will be immediately followed by another long range planning committee work session related to the budget.
