The Knoxville School Board approved a fencing proposal for Randy Wilson Track at their meeting Monday night.
The board approved a proposal submitted by Pierce Fencing Company for just over $25,000. Knoxville Community School District Business Manager Craig Mobley says the fencing project is another part of ongoing improvements at the facility.
“We have added a concrete sidewalk all the way around the track. This new fencing will be between the track and the sidewalk. Right now this will only be the north, south, and east side. The west side will be completed once the home bleachers are installed and built.”
The funding for this project will come out of the district’s five year facilities plan.
