The Pella Dutch bowling teams shattered records as they broke losing streaks in a pair of wins over Bondurant-Farrar Wednesday. The boys’ team won, 3025-2952, and the girls’ team, 1936-1861.
The boys’ final score of 3025 set a new school record, and is the first time the boys have scored over 3000 in a match. The boys also set a new school record for the high individual round team score with a 2089. Their two individual round games of 1228 and 1191 are second and fifth in that category.
Carter Failor led the team with a 244 game and a 468 series. Christian Rempe also shot 244 and finished with a 440 series. Alex Mitchel scored a 443 and Alex Bishara offered a 402.
McKenna Salvador fronted the girls’ team with a 189 game and a 352 series. Her game places her fifth on the records for high individual game and third for high individual series. Xavia Walker provided a 264 series for the Lady Dutch.
The Pella bowling teams will compete next Wednesday against Davis County.
