Indianola Area Dollars for Scholars is hosting a chili and cinnamon bun fundraiser this evening to help raise funds for scholarships. Patty Alexander with Indianola Dollars for Scholars tells KNIA NEws every student who applies for a scholarship will receive one, and the scholarships will go towards whatever education they want to, including a four-year college, community college, or trade school.

The fundraiser is tonight in conjunction with the Indianola vs Norwalk basketball games at Indianola High School, taking place from 5-7pm in the North Gym. Free will donations will be taken, with all money going towards secondary education for students. Indianola DFS has raised over $900,000 towards scholarships since 1998.
