The Pleasantville boys basketball team dominated Chariton Saturday night as the girls team came up short in a non-conference varsity doubleheader. 

The Trojan boys defeated the Chargers 74-45 to improve to 8-7 overall on the season. The Pleasantville boys were led in scoring by senior Dayson Leerhoff who had 25 points and freshman Braylon Bingham who had 24 in the team’s fourth straight win. The Trojan girls fell in their contest to the Chargers 65-27 to fall to 6-11 on the season. The Pleasantville girls were led in scoring by junior Joelle Johnson who had 12 points. 

The Pleasantville boys basketball team will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Woodward Academy and the girls team will next compete on Thursday when they host Albia.
