It is never easy to win a championship, but the Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad found a way to win its first Bluegrass Conference Tournament title since 1998 with a 46-41 victory over Mormon Trail on Saturday. Addi Wadle was once again the star of the game with 19 points and 10/13 from the free throw line. Paetyn Anderson scored nine points and Gabby Overgaard ripped down 12 rebounds and blocked four shots. Coach Kelsey Goff told KNIA Sports the girls were resilient all game and Wadle knocked down clutch free throws to seal the game. It will be a quick turnaround for the Saints as they join the boys Monday in a make-up non-conference game at Colo-NESCO.
