The volunteer sign-up sheet for RAGBRAI’s stop in Knoxville on Wednesday, July 24th is officially open.
This is an opportunity for anyone who is passionate about community spirit and wants to lend a helping hand. The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce has spots available for morning, afternoon, all day, or the planning committee. The chamber is looking for those to help make RAGBRAI an unforgettable experience for those who stop in Knoxville, and can help show visitors the hospitality that Knoxville is known for. Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Nathan Sage says he is confident that many volunteers will help make this event a success.
“One thing that I’m hanging my hat on is how nationals was last year, and how the air show was this past September was with volunteers. Knoxville came out for those events to help out with those events. It wasn’t a hard process to get people to want to be a part of it. Since I’ve been Chamber Director it seems like people have been wanting to help out more and more with what we’ve been doing, because they’ve been wanting to build that community pride that we’ve been trying to do.”
