Simpson College and the Indianola Community will be celebrating George Washington Carver Day starting today, with three-days of activities highlighting the partnership of the Simpson and Indianola community.
Starting today, Simpson College will host Carver Birthplace Association Speakers, artifacts, and a medal ceremony. February 2nd will include a symposium and awards luncheon, and February 3rd the celebration will expand to the downtown Indianola square.
Activities on the square include a cup of hot cocoa, seeds to plant at home, making a fresh flower pocket posey, storytime, a scavenger hunt, treats, and a movie and special exhibit at various locations.
