The Indianola City Council meets in a study session and regular session this evening. The council will first meet in a study session, where Indianola Hometown Pride will provide an update regarding the Wonder on Buxton project, Community Development will give the 2023 Annual Report, and the council will discuss an ordinance pertaining to a tractor trailer/semi route in the city.

In regular session, Mayor Stephanie Erickson will read a proclamation declaring February 2nd as Chris Street Day in Indianola. The council will consider appointments to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Veterans Memorial Building Commission, and hold public hearings on the Franklin Avenue Sanitary Sewer Project and proposed rezoning of 2103 East 2nd Avenue from Commercial to General Industrial.

The council will also consider a contract with Waste Management for the spring and fall cleanup programs, a referral to the Planning and Zoning Commission regarding a zoning code amendment request for outdoor storage, and a professional service agreement with Sportsman Solutions to review naming rights and sponsorship consultancy and management of the Pickard Park Sports Complex.

The work session begins at 6pm in the city council chambers at Indianola City Hall, with the regular session to follow.
