Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars Community Schools are considering the possibility of implementing four-day school weeks beginning next year. According to Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars Superintendent Scott Bridges, this model of schooling is utilized by four schools in their athletic conference and 160 schools in Missouri. While no decision has been made on moving forward with a change for the calendar next year, both school districts are seeking input from parents and the community. Twin Cedars will be hosting a presentation and public forum in the high school cafeteria at 6 pm on Wednesday, February 7th, while Melcher-Dallas will host a presentation and public forum in the elementary school gym at 6 pm on Wednesday, February 21st. The purpose of these meetings is to gain more information from the communities and discuss possible benefits and challenges of the new schedule.
