The Melcher-Dallas Basketball went their separate ways on Tuesday. The girls went to Diagonal and came back with a 52-31 victory. Coach Kelsey Goff told KNIA Sports it was a good tune up for Thursday’s regional opener. Addi Wadle scored 22 points and 8/9 from the free throw line while Maddy DeJong had nine points and Gabby Overgaard scored eight points and grabbed 12 rebounds. The boys were never in the game with Wayne and fell hard 82-30. The Saints found it tough from the field shooting only 12/43. The girls will now turn their attention to Thursday’s class 1A regional opener against Moulton-Udell while the boys will take on Lamoni to wrap up the regular season.
