The Knoxville Federated Garden Club needs the community’s support for a new water feature at the Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden.

This new water feature will be visible by patients who are receiving chemotherapy at the new Don and Margaret Long Infusion center at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. It will be part of a redesign of the Blue Star Memorial Marker in the garden and the goal is to enhance the experience for those receiving treatment at the new infusion center. The Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden at the hospital is managed by the Knoxville Federated Garden Club and member Nila Landsperger hopes this can be a project supported by as many people as possible in the community.

“We would love for this to be a community supported project. This project benefits the whole community and the more people that feel they have ownership in it by contributing, the better.”

If you would like to donate to the Knoxville Federated Garden Club you can do so by mailing your contribution to PO Box 645, Knoxville, IA 50138. Hear more about the Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden from Nila Landsberger and Mary Dee Dykstra on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
