The Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad got down early and could not recover in a 60-42 loss to Sigourney on Tuesday night in the class 1A regional. Addi Wadle scored 20 points and eclipsed the 1,000 career points barrier in the game. The other story was Gabby Overgaard scoring a triple double with 12 points, ten rebounds, and ten blocked shots. Coach Kelsey Goff told KNIA Sports Sigourney was a very physical team but her girls fought back. Melcher-Dallas finishes at 18-4 and will bring back nearly every player from this season’s team.
