The postseason journey continues for the Pella Christian boys basketball team tonight, as they take on Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont in the Class 2A District 9 Final.

In pursuit of their third straight State Tournament appearance, the Eagles opened district play with a 75-64 win over Albia last Thursday. The Rockets also began postseason action with a double-digit win last Thursday, defeating Mid-Prairie 73-61. Pella Christian and EBF began the season against one another back on November 28th, and the Eagles were victorious in that meeting 77-51. With two senior heavy rosters looking to keep their high school basketball careers going, Pella Christian head coach JD Boer looks forward to a high-energy game in a great atmosphere at Oskaloosa High School.

“They’ve got a bunch of seniors and we’ve got a bunch of seniors, so it’s one that I’m sure has been circled on both teams’ calendars certainly as a potential matchup. We love playing in the Oskaloosa gym. I’m sure that place will be rowdy, and I’m looking forward to seeing our fans go down there and it’s gonna be a great challenge for us in a district final. ”
