The Indianola Fire Department received a Prairie Meadows Grant which provided the department with a pair of state-of-the-art extrication tools from Genesis Rescue Systems. The first is a combination tool that can both spread and cut through damaged metal to access victims trapped in vehicles or machinery, with the second tool being a self-contained cylinder ram that also helps spread and create openings for extrications.

Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grants fund small-to-medium sized projects with grants ranging from $100 to $99,999. These grants support qualified organizations seeking to improve the lives of those in their communities.
