The Class 3A state boys basketball tournament next week features a variety of teams as it relates to their traditional success in reaching the state’s final eight.

Defending champions Bondurant-Farrar are the only returning team from last year’s showcase, but several recent appearances can be found among the remaining schools at the end of this winter. Pella is making their first trip to Wells Fargo Arena since winning the class over fellow 2021 and 2024 qualifiers Ballard. Five of the eight schools in the current bracket left have won a state championship as well.
