The City of Knoxville has seen a large increase in dog waste along public sidewalks and is  reminding citizens to clean up after their pets.

The large increase of this waste has been particularly prevalent in the downtown area. City code requires owners to dispose of any animal excrement left on public property. Doing this will help the community stay tidy and prevent citizens from stepping in waste.
