The Pella High School Robotics team saved their best performance of the year for the state championships. The team averaged 154 points in their six qualification matches and ended up 17th out of a total of 72 teams that qualified for the tournament in Coralville March 1st and 2nd.

During the awards ceremony, team members Jack Weaver (Jr.) and Ben Holmbeck (Jr.) were recognized as semi-finalists for the Dean’s List Leadership Award. Ryan Steenhoek (Sr.) and Hayden Papendick (Sr.) were both recognized as graduating Seniors.

Up next for the Bionic Dutch is the Technology Student Association’s State STEM competitions where they will compete in the TSA VEX Robotics tournament on April 1-2 in Altoon.
